What did the school want to achieve?

In March 2025, we visited Limpsfield C of E Infant School in Oxted, Surrey. The school needed a complete refresh of their outdoor playground.  They’d previously had their playground resurfaced giving them a blank canvas, however, the school were struggling to decide exactly what to do with the space.

How did we help them achieve their desired outcome? Were there any problems, and how did we overcome them?

Initially, we hosted a Virtual Survey where we discussed Limpfields C of E Infant School’s requirements, their budget, any potential barriers or concerns they had about the installation process and plan where they would like their new markings to be positioned.

We installed a wide variety of our new playground markings and designs including, our World Map with Oceans, Phonics Pond, 4 Point Compass, Snakes and Ladders, a bespoke Short Active Trail and a Limpsfield School Association logo.

On the day, our team worked efficiently to complete the project by the end of the school day, ensuring minimal disruption to playtimes and school drop-offs and pick-ups. The school was impressed with our team’s professionalism, punctuality and seamless project management.

We loved working with Limpsfield C of E Infant School to bring their playground to life with our vibrant new markings! It’s always fantastic to see schools enhancing their outdoor spaces for fun, learning and active play. The feedback from the school has been overwhelmingly positive and we are delighted to have exceeded their expectations.

Everyone has commented on the quality of the designs – and we are delighted with the mix of those which will get them all active, which we have funded via sports premium, and those to support their learning which our Limpsfield School Association and LSA parents funded. We were particularly delighted that Fun & Active installed an LSA logo so that everyone could see what their fundraising had supported!

And above all – the children love them! We’re so glad that we chose Fun & Active to work with because they helped us every step along the way to help our vague dreams become a vibrant reality.
