Cleaning & Maintenance
As well as supplying and installing playground markings, we also offer a cleaning and maintenance service. After a year or two, your new playground markings may have got dirty, making them look faded and dull. A great advantage of using thermoplastic markings however, is that they are very easy to clean!
What’s involved in the cleaning & maintenance service?
Our team will visit your school or site equipped with a van-mounted, petrol-powered jet-washing machine. The dirty playground markings are soaked and brushed with a cleaning agent before being sprayed at high pressure to wash away the grime. When the clean playground markings are dry, we apply a sealer to help maintain the bright colours and to keep them from getting dirty in the future.
Watch the process in the video below:
The thermoplastic material we use for our playground markings is UV resistant, meaning the colours won’t fade and will stay bright. As such, when the playground markings are cleaned (even after years of use), they will come up just like new! This makes for an effective way of bringing your playground back to life.
The sealer works by providing a layer of protection over the thermoplastic. It reduces dirt pick up and prevents any grime from getting directly onto the marking, achieving an “easy clean” effect. The dirt is simply washed away instead of having to be scrubbed. The protective layer also acts as a UV screen and prevents the sun’s rays from fading the markings. This helps to preserve the original vivid colour tones for a long time.
How much is it to have my playground markings cleaned and sealed?
The minimum value for a cleaning service is £1,000. This includes the jet-washing and cleaning of markings, plus the application of the sealer. If the rest of your playground could do with a clean as well, we can quote for this too and wash the whole area.
If your playground markings are looking grubby and are in need of bringing back to life, we would love to help. Contact our friendly team on 0800 061 4243 or complete a contact form.
