Dave is one of our two passionate directors who founded Fun & Active Playgrounds back in 2016 and has since seen the team grow in size each year, transforming hundreds of school playgrounds along the way.
Background & Experience:
Dave honed his skills at a renowned preformed thermoplastic manufacturer. Initially tasked with collecting materials for a distributor he was employed by, Dave’s curiosity piqued, leading him to immerse himself in the intricacies of the product. Before long, he seamlessly transitioned into a role within the manufacturer.
With eight years of expertise under his belt, Dave felt compelled to unleash his creative flair. His focus shifted towards crafting innovative designs tailored to enhance outdoor learning experiences for schools, propelling them to new heights of engagement and activity.
It was here, together with long-term friend and fellow Director, Greg, that Fun & Active Playgrounds’ mission was born.

Dave has played his part in all areas of the business, including cutting and installing the playground markings himself. Now leading a much bigger team, Dave is an expert in knowing what properties to look out for in a high-quality thermoplastic material. As well as this, he has learnt exactly how to perfect the art of installation, achieving an optimum, long-lasting finish every time.
This knowledge he has passed on to many members of the team as they have joined, who now have the same eye for detail when it comes to quality, both in our products as well as our playground marking services.
Interests:
Proud father of daughter Millie, Dave is a very hands-on Dad, taking part in various fun outdoor activities as well as helping with homework. During school runs and parent’s evenings, Dave has been able to build relationships with Millie’s teachers and shape a deep understanding of some of the issues that schools face when it comes to outdoor play and learning.

Outside of work and family duties, Dave always has several projects on the go! Whether that’s home improvements or exploring new entrepreneurial ventures to uplift his community.
