The Makaton Emotions Communication Panel is a thoughtfully designed playground resource that helps children identify and communicate their emotions using recognised Makaton symbols. Created in partnership with the Makaton Charity, every panel purchased contributes directly to the charity’s work supporting communication and inclusion.
The panel is constructed using a recycled black core XD-Eco board with a durable polycarbonate graphic surface, providing excellent weather resistance and long-lasting clarity of symbols in busy school environments. Ideal for playgrounds, sensory areas and quiet zones, this panel supports children who use alternative communication methods while encouraging empathy, emotional literacy and social understanding. It is particularly valuable for SEND settings and inclusive school playgrounds, helping pupils build confidence in expressing how they feel and interacting with peers.
Available with robust aluminium T-slot posts for freestanding installation, the panel can also be combined with other communication panels to create bespoke layouts tailored to different learning.
