The Snakes & Ladders 1-100 Solid Playground Marking is a vivid and bright thermoplastic design which encourages children to practise their mathematics and develop co-operative play skills.

Objective: The goal of Snakes and Ladders is to reach the 100 square by climbing ladders and avoiding sliding down snakes. It’s a fun, chance-based game suitable for all primary school pupils and can help children with maths skills like counting, adding and subtracting!
1. Gather players (2 or more).
2. Each player needs a marker (e.g. a beanbag) to represent them on the grid, or they can stand on the grid themselves.
3. You’ll need a large foam die or a spinner to determine the number of spaces each player moves.
Start the Game:
All players place their markers or themselves by the number 1 square.
Decide who will go first. Players can roll the die to determine the order (highest roll goes first).
Taking Turns:
On your turn, roll the die and move your marker or jump forward the number of spaces shown.
For example, if you roll a 4, move forward four squares.
Ladders:
If you land on the bottom of a ladder, climb up to the square at the top of the ladder.
Celebrate moving closer to the finish line!
Snakes:
If you land on a snake’s head, slide down to the square at the snake’s tail. Don’t worry though, you’ll get another chance to climb back up!
Winning the Game:
The first player to reach the 100 square wins the game.
You must roll the exact number needed to land on the final square. If you roll a number higher than required, skip your turn.
1. Players must follow the numbers on the grid in order.
2. If two players land on the same square, they can both stay there.
3. Players must use the ladder or snake if they land on the appropriate square.
4. If a player rolls the die and cannot move the full number due to the end of the board, they miss their turn.
• Encourage players to cheer each other on.
• Take turns fairly and wait for everyone to roll the die.
• If players have different skill levels, let younger players take extra rolls to keep it enjoyable for all.
