Taking the classroom outside with Playground Markings
Studying in the classroom can often become quite repetitive for children, as they complete each school week year after year. Children can sometimes feel trapped between the four walls of a classroom, as a lot of the time they must sit in one place for long periods.
This is why more and more teachers and schools have begun to think of new and interesting ways to motivate children to study and have fun, whilst sticking to the curriculum. It is extremely important for children to learn to enjoy the process of learning at an early age, as this will set their mindset right for the future.
An amazing way to make the whole studying process more interesting for students is to take the classroom outside and encourage active learning. This is particularly fun and enjoyable at this time of year when the weather is warmer, plus, after all the lockdowns we’ve had in the last couple of years, it’s important to get outside and get moving! And what better way to make studying fun than having a change of scenery and getting fresh air.
You can even turn the learning into a game – all you need for that are some exciting playground markings. Playground markings are a great way for children to play whilst learning and having fun with their friends. So, we’ve prepared some engaging and interactive designs that will help children improve their classroom skills and ensure lots of fun and laughter around the school playground.
Maths Playground Markings
Maths and number playground markings are a useful resource for developing children’s mathematics and learning how to deal with numbers in a fun way, not worrying so much about making mistakes. When in the classroom, children often experience a certain level of anxiety and fear of failure in front of their teachers and classmates. But when maths and numbers are presented in the form of a game played outside with friends, children will feel at ease. This will, in turn, will help them improve their skills and motivate them to ask their peers for help, as they will not experience the fear of being judged.
Younger children learn the basics of maths much more easily when they have the opportunity to practice them outside the classroom. When they enjoy activities, they are better remembered which means they’ll be able to take this knowledge back in to the classroom and outside of school too.
Phonics Playground Markings
Phonics playground markings are an awesome way for children to improve their reading, spelling, and learning of the different sounds. Learning the alphabet whilst playing outside will not only help children improve their classroom skills and communication, but their physical activity too. The colourful markings are sure to attract infant and primary school children with their vibrant colours and interesting designs. Children can skip or jump on a big dragon full of bright and colourful letters with our Dragon A-Z Lowercase Playground Marking or go on a phonics Safari with their friends – just some of the many options there are.
