Playground Marking in Worcestershire
What are playground markings?
Playground markings can bring your Worcestershire playground to life with colourful lines, designs and shapes. Ours are made from non-toxic, pre-formed thermoplastic that last longer than paint and are environmentally friendly. They make it easy for you to run active, educational and fun activities, as they don’t require any setup time for each use and will be there for playtimes too.
What makes playground markings so important for playgrounds?
Improved safety
Playgrounds are amazing places to be but that doesn’t mean that they are free of accidents. With so many games going on at once, it’s easy for them to overlap and for children to encounter skipping ropes, balls or runners that weren’t part of their game. Keeping these games separate is an easy way to improve safety and facilitate those games. You can also use playground markings to teach children about road safety and to show them where to go in an emergency.
Encourage an active lifestyle
The better the habits that they have as children, the less likely they are to fall into bad ones later in life. Using interesting fitness playground markings will encourage them to be active and healthy, which can continue into adulthood. In the West Midlands 27.6% of Reception children and 43.8% of Year Six children are overweight, obese or severely obese.
Better mental health
Encouraging children to take breaks and be active outdoors is proven to help reduce racing thoughts, anxiety and stress levels. Our playground markings are there for them during lessons, breaks and any time they can get outside so they can begin their stress relief straight away.
What playground markings we’d choose
Variety is important
Your playground can be used for a variety of lessons, not just P.E, so you can get a range of different playground markings for those, as well as for playtime. What you choose will depend on the age of the children but a mix of styles is good.
Younger children will like
Snakes and Ladders is a popular game as it is fun but also teaches the children to add or count on for their move. Get them active with a Build Your Own Trail, and help their lessons progress with a Compass Clock that will make learning the time and directions a breeze.
Older children will enjoy
We have several versions of Snakes and Ladders so you can have the larger version for older children, which they will still love. A little competitiveness can be a good thing so give them an outlet for it in team sports like football and netball, and solo sports like sprints and Bleep Tests. Our multiplication tables go up to the 12 times table so there are plenty of great learning opportunities available.
