Interesting solutions for spending Sport Premium Funding
The UK government recently agreed that any PE & sport premium funding that has not been spent during the last two academic years, can be carried over into the 2021-2022 academic year. Any underspends carried forward must now be spent by 31 July 2022.
Many schools often find themselves wondering what the best way to spend the funding is, and what on precisely. The main objective of the funding is to improve the provision of sports and PE, not just for current pupils but for future ones too. As a result, schools are doing their best to find a good way to get the most out of their funding. We are here to help you with interesting solutions for spending Sport Premium funding!
Thermoplastic Markings for a great sports playground
Something we take great pride in is the great variety of markings we provide. When it comes to sport markings, we can offer a lot of different designs and solutions that will suit your school’s needs.
Our markings will not only last long enough for future students joining your school, but they are also incredibly colourful and fun to play on. Having interesting markings makes your playground more aesthetic, which can also encourage children to perform more physical activity and in turn have healthier, active lifestyles.
There are many wonderful benefits that come with installing playground markings at your school. For example, they help children learn and improve their skills outside the classroom, while also having fun. What’s more, they encourage and help children to develop a more positive attitude towards sports and physical activity.
Playground markings are also a great way for children to develop new friendships and overcome any social anxiety. They learn how to work better with others and play in a team, while also focusing on their individual talents and strengths. Encouraging children to engage in more physical activity on an everyday basis is one of the key stages when it comes to establishing and developing a healthier mindset.
Some great games to start with are:
- Basketball, which is an all-time favourite in primary schools. Children of all ages can play and have fun together, either individually or in teams, while also engaging in a high-level physical activity.
- Capture the Flag playground marking is an innovative way to encourage children to play this traditional playground game. It helps when it comes to improving communication skills and motivates children to find interesting ways to work together as a team. Not to mention that it is an amazing way to get moving and take part in cardiovascular fitness.
- Cricket is an awesome game enjoyed by many. That’s because bat and ball games are a firm favourite for sports games, and they are incredibly fun and engaging to play. Installing a cricket playground marking is a great way to encourage children to play and move more. For this we can provide a Cricket Practice Playground Marking that will assist PE teachers in teaching pupils the basics of the game in order to play.
We have a wide variety of other popular sports playground markings, which are just waiting for you to choose and play on! Be sure not to miss out on any Sport Premium funding and make the most of it!
