Tadley Primary School, Hampshire
What did the school want to achieve?
When Tadley Primary School – in Tadley, Hampshire – first got in touch, they wanted to enhance playtimes for their children, and thought a variety of playground markings would help to promote co-operative play and encourage healthy competition. They wanted to broaden the range of opportunities for physical activity and to provide a sports court for school and local fixtures. The school also wanted to be able to show the children how much they value them.
How did we help them achieve their desired outcome? Were there any problems, and how did we overcome them?
After Head Teacher, Sarah, emailed us with her enquiry, we quickly responded and arranged a survey. Our product brochure was shared with the school so that they could involve the children and get their opinions on which games and markings they wanted. The favourites were a Dance With Me, Compass Clock, a Deluxe Fun & Active Trail, plus a Dartboard with throw lines.
We were then able to help the school decide on where the games and designs would best fit in the playground, making the most of their space. We knew the school were interested in netball and football, and with room for only one court, we were able to add football lines to their netball court making it multi-use! Installation was scheduled in a few weeks later and completed in one day during the Easter Holidays so the playground was ready for when the children returned for the Summer term.
Our comments on the finished playground
We really enjoyed working with Tadley Primary on their playground project. The new games and markings they have chosen will be great for the children, providing opportunities for learning, play and all-important exercise! There are now plenty of activities that the students can take part in, either individually or together as a group – improving interactivity and social skills.
Testimonial from the school
“The service was excellent. Following the email, a member of the team was in touch to book an appointment. The products were clearly displayed in the brochure and on the website making it easy to share with the children and ask for their comment and requests. Connor was able to advise on playground design, sizing etc and made the process quick and easy. The installation was within three weeks and we were delighted with the finished product. We couldn’t believe how many markings we were able to purchase for our money. The children were absolutely delighted and it has certainly enhanced the quality of their play and enjoyment of break times”.
