Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School, Cheshire
What did the school want to achieve?
Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School in Runcorn, Cheshire, first contacted us as they wanted to turn their playground into a stimulating environment for their pupils. They wanted the area to actively encourage children to have fun and be physically active during breaks and lunch times.
How did we help them achieve their desired outcome? Were there any problems, and how did we overcome them?
We worked closely with the school to help them choose the best markings to achieve their goals and to make the most of their available space. Markings chosen included our colourful Active Trail and our bright Active Spot Circuit – specifically designed to inspire children to get moving.
Other markings were chosen to incorporate fun and games into the playground, such as our Mirror Me marking and our 1-20 Target with throw lines.
To add an element of education too, the school chose to have our Solar System marking so that pupils could explore the planets, an 8-Point Compass, and a Maths Caterpillar for learning sums.
During installation, the school had requested that access remained open for their children in the morning and at home time. We made sure that the area was clear of any equipment to ensure safe access.
Our comments on the finished playground
We’re delighted with how the playground looks at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School and we’re so pleased we were able to bring their vision to life. Using a range of different markings, we were able to give them an environment that will inspire young minds, present and future, to learn whilst having fun and keeping active.
Testimonial from the school
“Your marketing staff were very prompt and professional, when you came out for the first time to measure and design our playground. The brochure you provided is of excellent quality and true to the end result. Your staff were prompt in their correspondence with us and very accommodating in helping us design the playground to suit the needs of our children. You completed the work very quickly and we are very happy with the quality of the markings.”
