What’s the time, Mr Wolf? The much-loved and traditional children’s game gets a bright makeover with the Mr Wolf Playground Marking. The attractive thermoplastic design will appeal to all children while helping them to develop their concentration and enjoy physical play.
Includes supply and install.
1. One child takes the role of the Wolf and stands at the top of the marking with their back towards the rest of the group who stand at the bottom, lined up with the footprints.
2. Together the children at the bottom shout “What’s the time Mr Wolf?”
3. The child who’s the Wolf then replies with a time. For example, “it’s 3 o’clock!”
4. Whichever time the Wolf said will be the number of steps the rest of the children hop or jump forwards, e.g. 3 jumps for 3 o’clock.
5. They then repeat step number 2, shouting again “What’s the time Mr Wolf?” and the Wolf responds again with a different time.
6. Children continue jumping forward on the footprints after each response from the Wolf.
7. At any point, instead of announcing the time, the Wolf can reply with “Dinnertime!” and turn around to chase the players.
8. The children must then race back to the start without being tagged by the Wolf.
9. If one of the children are tagged, they become the new Wolf for the next round.
10. The game ends when all players have been tagged, or when one player successfully reaches and tags the Wolf without getting tagged themselves.
